Celebrating International Women’s Day with Strength, Community & Reformer Pilates

At The Pilates Rooms Urmston, strength is more than muscle — it’s resilience, confidence, and the power of women supporting women. This International Women’s Day (March 8th), we’re opening our doors for a special Open Day dedicated to Reformer Pilates, celebrating movement as a form of empowerment.

Why International Women’s Day Matters to Us

International Women’s Day is a global celebration of women’s achievements — social, economic, cultural, and personal. It’s also a reminder of the importance of opportunity, equality, and community.

At The Pilates Rooms Urmston, we see that spirit every day: women showing up for themselves, trying something new, rebuilding strength after injury, navigating motherhood, managing busy careers — and doing it together.

Pilates has always had a strong connection to women’s wellness. While originally developed by Joseph Pilates, the method grew in popularity largely through powerful female teachers who carried it forward and evolved it into the practice we love today. Reformer Pilates, in particular, offers a dynamic, supportive way to build strength safely and effectively — no matter your starting point.

Why Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is more than a workout — it’s an experience.

Using spring resistance and controlled movement, reformer classes help to:

Build lean, functional strength

Improve posture and alignment

Support pelvic floor and core health

Increase flexibility and mobility

Reduce stress through mindful movement

The beauty of the reformer is that it meets you where you are. Whether you’re brand new to exercise or looking to challenge yourself in a new way, the equipment adapts to your body — making it accessible, safe, and empowering.

Stronger Together

International Women’s Day reminds us that progress happens in community. There’s something powerful about a room full of women moving with intention — supporting each other, celebrating effort over perfection, and showing up authentically.

Our Open Day isn’t just about promoting reformer classes. It’s about creating a space where women feel:

Welcome

Capable

Supported

Strong

Because strength looks different on everyone — and every version is worth celebrating.

Be Part of It

This International Women’s Day, take an hour for yourself. Try something new. Bring a friend. Step onto the reformer and discover what your body is capable of.

Let’s celebrate movement, empowerment, and the incredible strength of women — together.

We can’t wait to welcome you. 💜
